Important Covid information from 19 July 2021

The UK government’s policy is to relax the Covid regulations for UK society from Monday 19th July 2021.

Penzers would like to remind its patients that it will continue to operate after that date as it does now in a Covid secure way. In keeping with other medical centres and indeed the major supermarkets, we have been advised by our professional optical bodies that precautions are to remain in place. We will continue to operate with half the number of eye test appointments than before the pandemic, to allow for cleaning everything between patients.

What this means in principle after 19 July 2021 is:
– you will be expected and asked to wear a face covering at all times in the practice – we reserve the right to refuse admittance to the practice for those who refuse.

– you will be asked to use the hand sanitising station.

– you are requested not to turn up unannounced, so please call in advance to make an appointment, even for simple things such as replacing a screw.

– please continue to respect the Penzer team and the opticians at all times.
